Summer AmeriCorps at Providence Children's Museum

Providence Children's Museum is an active place where kids, parents and educators play and learn together. Join MuseumCorps and be part of a team that implements and facilitates creative programming for children ages 3-11 and increases accessibility to hands-on, creative experience for children and families from low-income communities. Develop Museum-based programming for our hands-on "Learning Clubs" that support elementary school-aged children in after-school and summer programs, facilitate pop-up programming in Providence’s parks, and model facilitation techniques for our summer volunteers. Members will participate in ongoing training in Museum education, play-based learning, and advanced facilitation techniques. The AmeriCorps program at the Providence Children’s Museum is made possible through an annual grant from the Corporation for National and Community Service. How to apply: Applicants must complete the online AmeriCorps application and process; and complete a personal statement. For more information, and instructions for completing the personal statement, visit http://www.childrenmuseum.org/ameriCorps.asp
