COAD/RSVP- Summer Meal Associate

COAD's mission is to provide a unified voice and representation for the Community Action Agencies of Appalachian Ohio and the constituents that they serve--primarily low-income families, children, and senior citizens, and to improve the quality of life for all residents of Appalachian Ohio. The mission of RSVP is to provide high-quality volunteer management of programs which ensure healthy futures of those we serve. The major programs that COAD/RSVP of the Ohio Valley supports focus on the areas of Healthy Futures, particularly Health, Nutrition, and Education. Our primary focus areas for this project will address hunger and food insecurity in rural Southeastern Ohio. We are the sponsor of Summer Food Service programs for Ohio Department of Education and Summer Rural Delivery programs though the Ohio Association of Foodbanks, as well as the Jackson Ironkinds Weekend Foodbag program in the Jackson City School District during the school year. Activities will primarily be conducted in Jackson, Gallia, Pike, Ross, and Meigs counties.
