COAD's mission is to provide a unified voice for the Community Action Agencies of Appalachian Ohio and the constituents they serve, primarily low-income families, children, and senior citizens, The mission of COAD/RSVP of the Ohio Valley is to provide high-quality volunteer management which engages the community in service, in a variety of programs which ensure healthy futures for those we serve. We focus our efforts on a number of hunger prevention programs designed to reduce the hurtful effects of food insecurity and poverty among our region's most vulnerable citizens. Our volunteers serve in six counties in far-southeastern Ohio, which are among those with the highest prevalence of poverty in our State.
