Prosperity Indiana supports a network of individuals and organizations - community-based nonprofits, governments and private enterprises - by providing capacity, financial resources, expertise, and connections that make community development work in Indiana. The Resource Development VISTA will help Prosperity Indiana meet its goals by increasing financial support for programs and activities by: assisting with general grant research and grantwriting, supporting the expansion of the Community Loan Centers by securing additional capital for lending, developing and implementing a new corporate solicitation strategy, building sponsor and donor relationships, and establishing an annual giving campaign. Candidates must possess strong organizational and leadership skills, strong analytical skills, and an ability to work both independently and as a team player. They should be customer service oriented, write well and communicate effectively, and have a passion for resource development. A basic knowledge of community economic development and nonprofits is also relevant. Prosperity Indiana is located in downtown Indianapolis. Member Duties : The Resource Development VISTA will: Conduct grant research and writing for the organization; Participate in the activities of the Prosperity Indiana Communications & Resource Development Committee to plan and implement identified and approved fundraising events including attending meetings and maintaining communications with committee members; Establish an annual giving campaign; Assist with the development of short and long range development plans, donor cultivation, and postal and online donor outreach; Assist in planning and developing sponsorships for the 2019 Summit and other Prosperity Indiana programs and events.
