Integrated Services for Behavioral Health
 
 
 
Integrated Services is a 23-year-old nonprofit that has grown to serve a broad range of individuals, families, and communities throughout Central and Southeast Ohio. Integrated supports in whole person health, which includes access to and understanding of healthy foods. Integrated’s Farm-to Pantry VISTA, will strengthen and expand the reach of the Ross County Donation Station. The VISTA will formalize connections between therapeutic gardening and food access, developing systems and programs, and assist in the production of healthy foods on the Integrated Roweton campus. In the First Year, the VISTA will focus on: Researching and understanding existing local food networks, enhancing connections with local agencies to leverage capacity support for the Donation Station and address gaps in food access. Develop a 5-Year blueprint to sustainability of the Donation Station, developing a strategy for project support through a diversified funding stream (grants, business sponsorship, donations). Design and implement a Volunteer Management plan to address the needs of 1) the Ross County Donation Station, 2) the Chillicothe Farmers Market, and 3) Integrated Services for Behavioral Health’s programs. Design and implement a marketing plan for the Chillicothe Farmers Market, targeting consumers with access to SNAP and WIC funds. Assist ISBH in increasing their production of healthy foods.

Member Duties : The VISTA’s work will support the mission to ensure everyone has access to healthy local food. The VISTA will coordinate the ongoing implementation of the organization’s farm development, volunteer recruitment and marketing initiatives to sustain the Donation Station. Member requirements include clear and effective verbal and written communication skills including public speaking skills; coordination and facilitation of meetings; ability to work with diverse groups of people; training and leadership skills; organizational and data skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, and various online platforms; ability to work independently and in groups; graphic design experience a plus and interest in local food systems, food security and nutrition is valued.
