Partnership to End Homelessness (PART TIME)

On any given night, over 1,000 people will be living on the streets or in shelters in Greensboro. The Partnership to End Homelessness is dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Guilford County. The 23 part-time members of the program serve at 6 partner agencies: The Servant Center, the Interactive Resource Center, Greensboro Urban Ministry, YWCA, StepUp Greensboro, and Center for New North Carolinians. Members work directly with clients to provide food, shelter, emergency financial assistance, life skills, and case management. Each month they implement community service projects to benefit at-risk people. The service year begins in September 2018. Early applicants have the best selection of roles. While we welcome out of state applicants, all member roles are in Greensboro and only those willing and able to travel to Greensboro for a series of interviews should apply. We only accept the MyAmeriCorps online application. After we receive your application, you will be contacted via email. We are seeking committed and engaged individuals who aren't afraid of going above and beyond in service to the Greensboro community!

Member Duties : We offer a variety of unique roles! Members serve in food pantries, interview clients for emergency assistance, assist in shelter management, and provide employment assistance. During the interview process, we will review available roles with you.

Program Benefits : Training , Stipend , Education award upon successful completion of service .
