RISE VISTA Leader - Sacramento County
 
 
 
Prevent Child Abuse California administers the RISE VISTA program. The office location is in North Highlands, CA which is 10 miles north of Sacramento. The program consists of up to 30 members placed in individual host sites with different organizations in 8 counties across the state of California. The VISTA Leader is the first line of communication with the members through direct recruitment, enrollment, and service term activities. The VISTA Leader is responsible for keeping the lines of communication open with the members, conducting monthly team meetings with members via webinar, planning and executing National Service Days, planning and executing member trainings, monitoring and coaching members on evaluation techniques, and developing or researching new resources and sharing these with the members, which may include, but is not limited to, training, social networking, and enhancing the technology use among the members and host sites.

Member Duties : VISTA Leaders coach fellow VISTA members, motivate prospects to become VISTA members, create a supportive community for VISTA members to reflect on their service, develop professionally while in service, and gain new resources and information. VISTA Leaders monitor activities as it relates to VISTA members and may be involved in discipline and redirecting activities. Practicing confidentiality of member issues and administrative contract issues is expected at all times.
