The Greater Englewood VISTA Associate will partner with community agencies such as Teamwork Englewood, Imagine Englewood IF, R.A.G.E and Greater Englewood Development Corporation to increase organizational capacity to address disparities in education, job reentry, youth development, entrepreneurship, data analysis and evaluation strategies. All agencies have been collectively working as a team to build up the Englewood Quality of Life Plan (E.Q.L.P) which is the result of a community driven process that engaged residents, community leaders, youth, elected officials, and schools. These partners are working together to make positive changes in the Englewood neighborhoods that will alleviate poverty in the Englewood community. The VISTA member will build impact by researching, scaling, embedding strategies for all partners. This includes Identifying job training and employment programs that can be scaled and replicated. Identifying resources and best practices that support diverse learning needs. Develop partnerships with local colleges and businesses, and recruit youth mentors. The VISTA Associate will also develop funding-raising strategies and marketing campaigns for all community partners.
