The Global Game Changers Student Empowerment Program provides high-quality expanded learning opportunities for GGC in-school and out-of-school time providers to serve primarily at-risk elementary school age children. These service activities will impact poverty by closing the enrichment gap, enhancing academic outcomes, improving and empowering children to know that they have the ability and responsibility to give back and make the world a better place. Member Duties : Help Global Game Changers create a sustainable library of high-quality trainings for use by under-resourced schools who typically don't have the ability to bring in expensive trainers. Work to create videos and resources for educators on how to use the GGC curriculum to achieve the highest impact, integrate with trauma-informed care, build social-emotional skills, and work with restorative practices. Develop videos for an ongoing partnership with University of Louisville students so that they exit teaching programs more prepared to enter high-poverty schools. Develop high quality PSAs that communicate the impact of Global Game Changers' programs focused on students in poverty, in order to sustain funding and promote development and expansion of the program on an ongoing basis after the VISTA's term. Develop additional videos for that program that help communicate to teachers and parents.
