THN SOAR VISTA Statewide
 
 
 
The Texas Homeless Network (THN) works to provide solutions to end homelessness in Texas communities through education, resources, and advocacy. Currently, THN has VISTA members placed throughout the state working on capacity building and program development to assist communities in ending homelessness.

Member Duties : SOAR: SSI/SSDI, Outreach, Access, and Recovery 1. Create infographics and other educational materials that demonstrate SOAR’s effectiveness for communities to use to educate stakeholders. 2. Create and conduct SOAR refresher training webinars on the Medical Summary Report, entering data into OAT, and other areas determined. These will be recorded and available on the THN website. 3. Identify communities that are ready to implement the SOAR program and work with them on: a. Implementing the SOAR program b. Identifying a SOAR Lead c. Connecting them with the local SSA representative d. Training case managers 4. Assist with developing a statewide SOAR workgroup. 5. Provide training and technical assistance to communities using SOAR and/or interested in increasing SOAR capacity. Create an informational training that can be used statewide for landlord outreach and education.
