Member Duties : - Research and understand best green building practices and their environmental and other benefits.
- Develop a guide for City staff and/or members of the building community consisting of best green building practices, including local and regional resources.
- Research and understand the barriers to adopting supportive behaviors.
- Research solutions to address existing barrers, and develop an action plan for implementing high priority, feasible solutions.
- Develop a targeted stakeholder list including businesses, agencies, community groups, and individuals that have the potential to integrate green building practices or philosophy into their operations.
- Develop educational presentations on best practices and deliver presentations to stakeholders and City staff.
- Conduct educational outreach at community events such as the South Sound Sustainability Expo.
- Mobilize and manage volunteers as needed.
