Oregon Health Authority VISTA Leader

This partnership project is managed by the Oregon Health Authority in Portland, OR. The Leader will interact directly with the Project Director and fellow VISTA Leaders, and will lead a team of 36 VISTA members who serve at sites throughout Oregon in an effort to fight poverty and increase access to affordable healthcare resources. The team meets regularly, attends various public health and leadership trainings, and participates in national service day projects. The VISTA team members support public health programs such as Accreditation, Behavioral Health, Health Equity, and Vulnerable Population Initiatives. The VISTA Leader will serve at our state office in Portland. Portland is Oregon’s cultural center, dense with independent movie theaters and art galleries. The exceptional public transit system makes it easy to get around the city without a car, whether you’re visiting a food cart pod or a public park. With the innovative public health work happening in Oregon, Portland is a wonderful place to explore a future in public health.
