Conquering Opioid Abuse Together (COAT)
 
 
 
The Conquering Opiate Abuse Together (COAT) in Western Maryland program will have AmeriCorps members serving with the prescription drug and opiate crisis by educating the community on resources and programs available to them in the four westernmost counties in Maryland: Allegany, Garrett, Washington, and Frederick. In first program year, the AmeriCorps members will be responsible for engaging community members in open community forums, one-on-one meetings, hotlines, and other outreach activities to distribute resource materials. This program will focus on the CNCS focus area of Healthy Futures: Reducing and/or preventing prescription drug and opioid abuse.
