All Ways Up Multi-Site College Access and Success Program

The mission of the ALL WAYS UP Foundation (AWU) is to help first-generation and low-income youth get into AND through college. By providing scholarships, support for other non-profit organizations and an annual leadership summit, we are working to bridge the gap between ambition and opportunity to break the generational cycle of poverty. The goals of the multi-site project are to increase 1) the number of low-income youth of color who go to and graduate from college and 2) the number of graduates who are financially literate and have the skills required to pursue meaningful employment and/or a career and expects to benefit over 1,100 additional low-income youth by the end of the three-year project. The project is currently beginning year two of a three-year term. A total of eleven VISTA members are serving at seven different sites and their work is focusing on activities that include resource development, program expansion, communications, volunteer generation and program development. The VISTA Leader will assist the ALL WAYS UP Foundation in achieving the objectives and enhancing project activities and sources of community support. The Leader will maintain and/or improve monitoring, reporting and project management systems and will train each of the Sub-Site supervisors in the use of the systems. In addition, the Leader will support each VISTA member in his/her work, and will monitor member monthly reports, including conducting one-on-one monthly meetings with each member. The Leader will facilitate information sharing and peer learning, increasing the capacity of VISTAs to complete their work plans successfully.
