South Cumberland Plateau VISTA Project

The South Cumberland Community Fund and The University of the South (Sewanee) have partnered to offer a unique community-university South Cumberland Plateau VISTA Project (SCPVP). This project is a full-time, one year service program in which VISTA volunteers will work with community partners throughout the Plateau. Join our current team of 14 VISTAs through one of four available positions. Each position offers the unique opportunity to work in a rural, historically, and economically depressed region of Tennessee. Projects focus on community organizing, grant writing, volunteer recruitment, collaborating with K-12 schools initiatives to ensure and enhance sustainable program. SCPVP provides training to enhance each VISTA member’s personal and professional development. This VISTA program is team focused, providing group programming, support, and social opportunities for each VISTA. Make a difference! Help us improve our South Cumberland Plateau communities.
