Program Development VISTA
 
 
 
The Program Development Coordinator VISTA will be an integral part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada family, having direct involvement in the future viability and sustainability of the Club through improving the services provided to the youth of our community. Quality programming delivered by professionally trained staff is at the core of what makes Boys & Girls Clubs the premier youth services organization in the country. Within the first month of service, a Needs Assessment will be developed through research, collaboration, and observation of program areas. This individual will work with program staff to develop new curricula that better address the needs identified within specific program areas. On a rotating basis for the duration of the term of service, this individual will target a specific program area at a time, developing a minimum of 2 new programs in each area during the rotation period.

Member Duties : The primary Responsibilities are to communicate and collaborate with program staff on a daily basis; Develop a Needs Assessment for each program area within the Club based on current program offerings, BGCA priorities, and researched data in national and local youth development trends and initiatives; Develop a rotating schedule for program development in each area based on prioritization from the Needs assessment; Communicate and collaborate with BGCWN’s marketing team for advertising new programs; Work with Resource Development staff and the Capacity and Outreach VISTA position to secure sustainable community partnerships and program funding. This position will leave a lasting legacy of positive change for the more than 3,000 Club members for years to come.
