Arizona Serve - Fair Housing Services VISTA

The Southwest Fair Housing Council’s (SWFHC) mission is to provide comprehensive services to achieve and preserve equal access to housing for all people. SWFHC has been serving southern Arizona since 1986 and all of Arizona since 2003 with fair housing enforcement, education, outreach, and housing counseling services. It has permanent offices in Tucson and Phoenix and 41 satellite outreach offices at partner agencies in communities statewide. Since 2003, SWFHC has provided at least ten fair housing activities per year (trainings, events, media, literature, etc.) in every county in Arizona. The Fair Housing Services VISTA project will directly assist SWFHC to achieve its fair housing enforcement, education, and outreach goals. The project will serve all of Arizona, with a particular focus on populations vulnerable to housing discrimination such as persons with disabilities, racial and ethnic minorities, refugees, ex-offenders, families with children, those with low-income, and others. The VISTA will work closely with the Education and Outreach Team to develop and publicize SWFHC’s Opportunity Index that shows the location of high, moderate, and low-opportunity areas throughout the Tucson and Phoenix Metro Areas and the relationship to housing segregation. **Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, please apply immediately for consideration.**
