Volunteer Coordinator VISTA
 
 
 
Are you passionate about working with kids, and engaging community support for a healthy future? Be a part of the Movement, and support our mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring individuals. The Volunteer Coordinator will be an integral part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada family, having direct involvement in the future viability and sustainability of the Club within our community. This individual will design and develop a volunteer management program including a recruitment plan, training, recognition within the first 90 days. Within six months, the Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will manage a database with a minimum of 50 volunteers from the community, providing daily oversight of volunteer program implementation. Ongoing recruitment and volunteer management will continue throughout the remaining term of service. Member Duties : Primary Responsibilities: Design and develop an effective volunteer program that includes community outreach, recruitment, training, recognition, and retention; Create and maintain a volunteer database; Develop and update volunteer training protocols for the various program areas and activities within the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada to which volunteers will be assigned; Communicate and collaborate with BGCWN’s marketing team for volunteer opportunity advertisement; Collaborate with program staff to develop appropriate time frames for recruiting and training volunteers to ensure program needs are met. Through these efforts, you will provide a network of caring mentors for more than 3,000 area youth, guiding them as they grow and develop, and providing much needed resources to a critically underserved population.
