2017 Substance/Opiate Abuse Reduction Coordinator OSHKOSH
 
 
 
Our substance/opiate abuse reduction project is a collaboration between the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC), the Winnebago County Health Department (WCHD), Winnebago County Drug and Alcohol Coalition (WCDAC), and Living Healthy Community Clinic (LHCC). The location for this project is Winnebago County and the host site is Winnebago County Health Department in Oshkosh, WI. The mission of the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC) is to support, strengthen, and advocate for the uniqueness of the Wisconsin free and charitable clinics, the patients they serve, and the communities with whom they partner. Winnebago County Health Department is a leader in creating a culture that optimizes health and wellness in our community and its mission is to lead change by providing services and building partnerships that strengthen the community. Winnebago County Drug and Alcohol Coalition’s mission is to prevent and reduce drug and alcohol use by empowering our community to effect individual and social change through education, advocacy, collaboration, and coordination of resources. The mission of Living Health Community Clinic is to serve as a model of excellence in community oriented health care, improving primary health care for diverse populations in collaboration with community partners. To improve the lives of the residents of Winnebago County through better health, healthy habits, and increased connection with the wider community. **Interviews are done on a rolling basis. Member Duties : Goal of the Project: 1. Raise awareness within the community around the opioid epidemic as well as issues related to alcohol and other substance use/misuse 2. Develop collaborative partnerships and opportunities to address substance use/misuse 3. Expand the capacity of WCDAC to address opioid and other substance use/misuse 4. Increase resources to combat opioid, alcohol, and other substance use/misuse The location for this project is Winnebago County and the host site is Winnebago County Health Department in Oshkosh, WI.
