Member Duties : - Register clients for SNAP benefits through computer or at Board of Social Services.
- Assist clients with SOAR to have them be eligible for Social Security benefits and follow up as needed.
- Participate in recruiting for the Homeless Empowerment Action Response Team
- Assisting with community outreach through publications.
- Help with job search and taking clients to the department of labor.
- Assisting in driving clients to detox and drug treatment.
- Assist clients in housing search for guests and update the agency housing resource manual
- Assist staff in devising hand-outs and curriculum items for Let’s Cook community cooking classes and outreach.
- Assist with planning and executing the free educational workshop series and inviting clients of Elijah’s Promise.
- Attend community events, forums, or meetings with partner organizations like the Community Garden Coalition and the New Brunswick Community Food Alliance.
