VHCB AmeriCorps - Community Engagement Coordinator (ACCT)

Addison County Community Trust (ACCT) strives to enrich the lives of low- and moderate-income people of Addison County by developing, managing and preserving quality, affordable housing and providing supports for families, seniors and individuals. This position will further ACCT's mission by providing enrichment activities to ACCT residents and assisting ACCT to better serve residents in the future. Service will be performed in an office setting at ACCT's main office in Vergennes, as well as on-site at various ACCT properties, which may include serving out of doors and some evenings. Position begins September 10th, 2018 and ends August 9th, 2019. This position is Full Time: Requires 1,700 hours and serves approximately 40 hours per week for 11 months. Member will receive a living allowance of $17,850 (pre-tax), and an education award of $5,815 (pre-tax) upon successful completion of service. Member Duties : Essential Functions: • Connect precariously housed residents with resources to help them retain their housing with ACCT. • Increase residents' access to resources & activities that enhance their housing satisfaction and overall stability, financial and otherwise. • Collect resident feedback by designing and implementing a resident satisfaction survey. • Develop a program to offer volunteer opportunities at ACCT's mobile home parks • Engage community partners to identify resources and promote greater collaboration across human service areas. • Assist prospective ACCT applicants with application completion & navigation of the subsidized housing system. Marginal Functions: • Identify process improvement opportunities such as better data tracking and knowledge management systems, SOPs, and best practices in resident services.
