NCCAP AmeriCorps Team - Greater Wausau Area (full-time)

Our mission is to enhance the educational opportunities and positive interactions of potentially at-risk children, youth and their families. Members are placed at various non-profit agencies and the school district in full-time, half-time & minimum-time (summer only) positions. Many of the students our members serve are from low-income families. Members also plan and/or participate in team community service projects. Member meetings and training sessions provide members with opportunities to increase knowledge and leadership skills. Service at the host sites allows exploration and experience in potential careers, activity planning, and serving as a role model for youth. Members develop self-confidence through their work experience.
