Global Game Changers Superhero Educators
Join Global Game Changers (GGC) to inspire the next generation of superheroes motivated to change the world! GGC uses a service learning, character development, and social-emotional curriculum to teach students that we all have a superpower to make a difference. We discover that superpower through a special equation: MY TALENT + MY HEART = MY SUPERPOWER! Students cultivate their talents and explore 12 different heart causes – from bullying to environment to poverty to human rights – that they might care about. They combine these two powerful forces to design and implement service projects! Join us as an educator for our In-Residence partnership, where we bring students into a cultural site for a free afterschool program 4 days a week for 15 weeks to learn how they can be superheroes and explore some of our community’s most vital assets. You’ll also be helping out at a key summer learning program that ensures our most vulnerable students don’t get pushed even further behind during their break. We have 900-hour positions available, and we’re looking for an afternoons commitment, with additional preparation time logged at your convenience. If you think you might have what it takes to be the next Dumbledore, Mr. Miyagi, Professor X, or Mary Poppins – apply now!
