Flint Recovery Corps
 
 
 
The United Way of Genesee County will place full-time and half-time AmeriCorps members in community organizations responding to the needs of the community, especially following the water crisis. Members will provide programming related to food security and nutrition, behavioral and developmental health, early education, and medical management as strategies towards long-term recovery from the water crisis, particularly for special populations, in Flint, MI.

Member Duties : Flint Recovery Corps members will be assigned to agencies in the community that are providing long-term water-response in the areas of food security and nutrition, medical management, early education, and behavioral and developmental health. Members will increase access to services, share information, build capacity for organizations and connect residents with vital opportunities.
 
Program Benefits : Health Coverage ,  Education award upon successful completion of service ,  Training ,  Living Allowance ,  Childcare assistance if eligible . 
 
Terms :
Permits attendance at school during off hours ,  Car recommended ,  Permits working at another job during off hours .
