CLOSE TO HOME is a campaign to increase understanding and move Colorado residents to take action in addressing homelessness. CTH was founded and is supported by The Denver Foundation, is led by a diverse collaborative and implemented by a grassroots network. The goals of the campaign: •Make homelessness a priority issue in Metro Denver •Increase understanding so that Metro Denver residents experiencing homelessness are viewed by others, and regard themselves, as valuable members of our communities •Mobilize Metro Denver residents to address the underlying causes of homelessness. The VISTA will provide valuable experience related to the implementation of varied communications and the operation of the collaborative.

Member Duties : • Learn about the campaign, key partners, structure and goal • Track campaign communications measures through website, earned media, social media,newsletters, and emails • Support development and dissemination of communication content • Support and assist with ongoing strategy development, management, analysis and tracking of social media campaign • Participate in and support CTH Development Team (Leadership), Grassroots Network meetings, trainings, and special events • Convene and participate in meetings, handle logistics, minutes, follow up • Take notes to ensure that all members of the extensive grassroots network are kept up-to-date • Post information and materials to Basecamp • Research and obtain information needed to maintain the campaign calendar; track implementation of calendared events • Provide communications and administrative support as needed for the Development Team (leadership) and grassroots network
