Chisholm Trail RSVP-Plano Children's Theatre (Volunteers)

The mission of North Texas Performing Arts (NTPA)/ Plano Children's Theatre located in Plano, TX is to develop the character of youth through quality performing arts education and family entertainment. Our vision is to make our programs accessible and desirable to all North Texas families. Our theatres include Plano Children's Theatre, Frisco Youth Theatre, McKinney Youth Theatre, Fairview Youth Theatre, NTPA- Dallas and NTPA Repertory Theatre. We offer after school and summer arts training, major productions, special needs programming, daytime performances for schools, and free community outreach. High costs and lack of reliable transportation often hamper a child from a low-income family's ability to participate in arts programs. Plano Children’s Theatre’s scholarship program allows students who cannot afford the tuition for camps and classes to participate. At NTPA/ Plano Children's Theatre, children learn responsibility, teamwork, respect, leadership, confidence, accountability, discipline, sociability, language skills and a love of learning. The Volunteer Coordinator VISTA at Plano Children’s Theatre will build capacity through the development of a new comprehensive volunteer recruitment and training program. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of his or her time in an office setting. As a Plano Children’s Theatre VISTA, you will be part of a cohort coordinated by the VISTA North Texas project at Chisholm Trail RSVP, Inc.
