Boys & Girls Club Afterschool Program
 
 
 
Boys & Girls Club AmeriCorps members lead youth in enrichment activities and serve as mentors during the afterschool program. Corps members assist in monitoring and evaluating academic performance of youth. Actively participate in community development through community outreach service hours. Complete necessary service hours as specified by service term calendar. Actively participate in Boys & Girls Club organized community service projects and recommended community service events.

Member Duties : AmeriCorps members serve at one of four Boys & Girls Club locations: Covington, Gretna, New Orleans, Slidell. Corps members will lead students in afterschool educational and enrichment activities to help them succeed in today's world. AmeriCorps members are required to participate in at least 1 national service project. There are three potential terms of service: August-December; January-May; and June-July. Members must complete a minimum of 300 hours of service. Schedule: Monday-Friday, from 2:30pm-6:30pm during school time and Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm during summer months.
