| Member Duties : Work with the Village of Hempstead Poverty Reduction Task Force to identify the needs of low income community members and implement strategies and services to address those needs; assist in a community needs assessment including data gathering, assisting with focus groups and engaging the low income community in this initiative; conduct public information and education on the needs of the low income residents and the role of the task force; develop and maintain social media for informing people about poverty reduction initiative and available services; recruit and train community volunteers to participate in poverty reduction initiatives; create systems for measuring outcomes of projects; mobilize resources for support of the project.
