NeighborWorks Boise

For over 30 years, NWBoise has coordinated and organized our two annual, volunteer events, Rake Up Boise™ and Paint The Town™ – programs that NWBoise is most known for within the community. Through these events each year, approximately 8,000 volunteers paint homes and rake and winterize the yards of over 750 low- to moderate-income senior and disabled homeowners. The neighborhood revitalization that we offer through these programs is an integral part of our affordable housing continuum – restoring neighborhood pride, increasing property values, and bringing community members together to improve neighborhoods. As the Resident Leadership Coordinator, the VISTA will research best practices of leadership development, plan community activities, recruit resident leaders, conduct community outreach, design and implement research into the needs of the community as well as identify and solicit partners for our successful strategies. The work of the VISTA will directly impact families in our community.
