Summer Journeys Education & Outreach Assistant

This position is part of The Vermont Campus Compact (VCC) AmeriCorps Pathways Program, hosted by the Vermont Higher Education Council (VHEC). VCC AmeriCorps is a state-wide AmeriCorps program designed to partner with college campuses and community partners across Vermont in order to A) increase college aspirations and readiness among low-income and rural youth, and B) increase college persistence, retention, and success among first-generation and otherwise underrepresented college students. Located in the heart of Vermont's beautiful Northeast Kingdom, Wonder & Wisdom is a multi-generational, community-based nonprofit that inspires lives and communities of purpose and meaning. Our vision is to create a community and a world where the wisdom needed to bridge barriers and change lives for the better, begins with a sense of wonder. The goals of the Education & Outreach Assistant position are to work closely with Summer Journeys camp staff to support high risk youth and low-income families, in a dynamic camp environment.
