ASU- Non-Profit Education VISTA

The Non-profit Education VISTA (NPEV) will ensure efficiency and sustainability of non-profit organizations in the Concho Valley by working with Howard College to develop and implement a single day seminar for members of more than 150 regional non-profit advisory boards. The seminar will educate and train regional board members in best-practices for non-profit management and oversight. The result will increase financial and programmatic integrity and efficiency of participating regional organizations. The impact will increase capacity and sustainability of crucial organizations serving the most vulnerable and impoverished populations of West Texas. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate needs to be a self-starter with excellent computer skills, has a creative energy, ability to multi-task, and still have a strong attention to detail. San Angelo is a thriving community of 100,000 people and offers the comforts of a big city with an affordable cost of living and the friendliness of a small town. Along with the Concho River, San Angelo is conveniently located close to recreational lakes and a state park. With a host of shopping, restaurants, arts, culture, movies, outdoor recreation and family-oriented events, San Angelo has something for all tastes and interests.
