Accreditation is the measurement of health department performance against a set of nationally recognized, evidenced-based standards. Accreditation provides a framework for a health department to identify performance improvement opportunities, to improve management, develop leadership, and improve relationships within the community. Best known for legendary rodeo, fine woolens and leather craftsmanship, Pendleton has a well-deserved reputation as a town where the best of western tradition and heritage lives on. Umatilla’s location on the Columbia River in Eastern Oregon makes it a great place for outdoor adventure, cultural experience, and small town immersion.
