24-25 Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group Education Associate

This is an AmeriCorps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group is restoring Skagit salmon for future generations. Pacific salmon are in decline in many of their former strongholds. This affects humans, orcas, and many other links in the food chain. By engaging community members of all ages, we raise awareness and foster a stewardship ethic. The member will support our efforts through educational programming for 3 - 12 grade. They will collaborate with a variety of staff, interns, and volunteers and spend a lot of time outdoors in often inclement weather. If you have an interest in salmon, experience working with youth and a desire to serve in a vibrant outdoor learning program, please apply! We will begin rolling interviews in April. Monthly stipend amount: $2,276.
