Health Communications & Marketing VISTA Member
 
 
 
This role will bring innovation and creativity in marketing strategies to enhance the expansion and sustainability of SDSU Extension’s suite of Chronic Disease Self-Management and Physical Activity Programs, specifically to economically disadvantaged South Dakotans. Take a leadership role in the creation and project management of a variety of content and video marketing strategies. This role will enhance the expansion and sustainability of the Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) programs, known locally as Better Choices, Better Health® (BCBH) South Dakota, and other evidence-based physical activity programs falling under this overarching umbrella of BCBH programming (i.e. Walk With Ease and Fit & Strong).

Member Duties : The Health Communications & Marketing VISTA Member will lead the communications and marketing plan for Better Choices, Better Health® SD programming. This position will utilize social media management software to schedule and cross post content, assist in planning and development of social media campaigns, prepare templates and develop electronic communication documents, and create a communications and marketing toolkit to sustain efforts.
