FIT VISTA- Communications and Outreach Assistant VISTA

The mission of TLC Family Resource Center is to promote the optimal health and development of children and families in our region. TLC has been serving families and had the support of the people in Sullivan and Lower Grafton County for 25 years. TLC provides four basic programs: Healthy Families America which is a model equipped to work with families who may have histories of trauma; Comprehensive Family Support Services which provides a broad range of service to families that focus on strengthening and building a healthy family; Home Visiting which provides health education, support, and services to pregnant women and their families; and SHINE, our comprehensive sexual health program to prevent unplanned teen pregnancies and STIs. We also run a small children’s thrift shop to support the mission of the agency. As we prepare to celebrate our 25th birthday, the Board has plans to expand our programming, seek more funding for outreach to families in need, and begin to seek a facility that will allow us to provide more center-based activities for families of all sizes and backgrounds.
