FIT VISTA- Housing Marketing VISTA

The NH Community Loan Fund's mission is to serve as a catalyst, leveraging financial, human and civic resources to enable traditionally underserved people to participate more fully in New Hampshire's economy. We do this by: Providing loans, capital and technical assistance; Complementing and extending the reach of conventional lenders and public institutions; and Bringing people and institutions together to solve problems. ROC-NH works with residents of manufactured housing parks to secure the land under their homes by assisting the residents with purchasing the land as a Cooperative and becoming a resident-owned community. Resident ownership puts the power into the hands of those who have the most at stake in a manufactured housing park – the residents themselves. The residents own and manage their own community, ensuring rents remain affordable and maintenance and upkeep is routinely planned and implemented.

Member Duties : Don’t expect to be parked at a desk and never see sunlight. In this role, you will work with the talented ROC-NH team in the office and the field and learn more about this affordable housing movement. It’s unlikely that two days will ever be the same! If you are creative, have strong organizational skills and the ability to work with a variety of people, and are ready to hit the backroads of New Hampshire, this is the chance to gain a variety of direct experience—from community organizing to multi-million-dollar commercial real estate transactions. A car is required, as well as occasional night and weekend work. Mileage will be reimbursed at the federal reimbursement rate. Two national affordable housing conferences take place annually, one in the spring and one in the fall. Attendance is suggested and encouraged. All costs are covered.
