WACC - SFCC Career Navigator Coordinator

Spokane Falls Community College’s Career Navigator Program will improve access, persistence, and completion of education for economically disadvantaged youth and adults in the Spokane, WA area. This project will contribute to higher completion rates and higher earning potential for Spokane K-12 and SFCC students by connecting academic classroom learning with career interests and job preparation activities such as writing resumes and cover letters, mock interviews, and participating in job shadows. In the third year of the project, the VISTA member will institutionalize the project to ensure continued success. The member will also continue to mobilize volunteers and standardize the campus volunteer policies and procedures. The VISTA member joins the statewide Washington Campus Compact VISTA team whose members increase the capacity of campus-community partnerships by leveraging campus resources and community assets to address the critical issues of education access and food security. Washington Campus Compact is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our national service programs. People of color, LGBTQ individuals, persons with disabilities, and veterans are encouraged to apply.
