2017 WAFCC Standards Implementation - Racine, WI

The mission of the Wisconsin Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (WAFCC) is to support, strengthen, and advocate for the uniqueness of the Wisconsin free and charitable clinics, the patients they serve, and the communities with whom they partner. The location for this project is Health Care Network (HCN) in Racine, WI. Racine is located on Lake Michigan and is near Milwaukee and Chicago. The mission of Health Care Network is to provide free or low cost health and dental care to low income, uninsured residents of Racine County, WI. This care is provided through the dedicated efforts of over 380 volunteer providers. A shift in philanthropic trends has necessitated a review and rewrite of the organization’s fundraising and sustainability plan. The overarching goal of the Development Associate is to increase the capacity of HCN and the WAFCC to address these newer trends in a successful manner that promotes organization sustainability. Increasing organizational capacity to address this issue is imperative to the sustainability of HCN and WAFCC and to improve access to quality health care by the most vulnerable populations.
