'20-'21-Marketing & Membership VISTA- GCBH VISTA- MHAGC

Are you ready to fight poverty and make a huge and lasting impact on the lives of residents of Upstate South Carolina? For over 64 years, Mental Health America of Greenville County (MHAGC) has been positively impacting mental health across the region. Recent assessments of low-income adults indicate that limited access to mental health services and the growing opioid epidemic are two of the greatest concerns in the county. The Marketing & Membership VISTA will strengthen/expand the organization's marketing strategies by modifying and continuing to apply a three-year plan utilizing social media, media partner relations, web, video, and print tools; this individual will also work to expand the organization's membership program. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the 10 best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. **This position is eligible for an annual housing stipend of $600 paid to the landlord monthly/quarterly and for a membership to a specific gym facility.

Member Duties : This position is based at MHAGC in Greenville, SC. The Marketing & Membership VISTA will maximize video, social media, web-based, electric newsletter, and print tools and will build partnerships with media outlets to convey well-coordinated and results-driven messaging. Messaging will focus on increasing public awareness of the organization and highlighting the need for increased access to behavioral health supports as outlined in the agency’s strategic framework. This individual will also grow the agency's membership program in order to empower community members with timely information related to access to care and to allow for the financial sustainability of vital behavioral health programming.
