Are you ready to fight poverty and make a huge and lasting impact on the lives of residents of Upstate South Carolina? For over 64 years, Mental Health America of Greenville County (MHAGC) has been positively impacting mental health across the region. Recent assessments of low-income adults indicate that limited access to mental health services and the growing opioid epidemic are two of the greatest concerns in the county. The Development & Corporate Partners VISTA will implement and improve a development plan focused on supporting the sustainability and expansion of existing MHAGC programs. This individual will research, pursue, and strengthen relationships related to grant and corporate funding. Greenville, South Carolina continues to receive national and international recognition for its southern charm, opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, arts scene, sports culture, and cuisine. Greenville has been lauded by The New York Times as one of the 52 cities in the world to visit, by USA Today as one of the ten best emerging destinations, and as one of America’s ten best downtowns for its combination of revitalized commercial and park space. Greenville is located at the base of the Blue Ridge mountains. **This position is eligible for an annual housing stipend of $600 paid to the landlord monthly/quarterly and for a membership to a specific gym facility.

Member Duties : This position is based at MHAGC in Greenville, SC. This individual implements and improves a development plan focused on supporting the sustainability and expansion of existing programs. Specifically, this individual will develop/hone grant-researching, writing, and tracking skills while also implementing a corporate giving program. This individual must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to juggle multiple priorities at once, apply consistent project management practices, and bring exceptional communication skills. Grant-writing experience is not required but candidates must show interest in developing this skill set and be able to provide a writing sample exemplifying proven writing abilities.
