2017 Baltimore STEM Summer Camp Counselor
 
 
 
The STEM Camp Counselors will provide support to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math learning aspects of Baltimore City Summer Learning programs. By designing and facilitating hands on, project based activities the STEM Camp Counselors will be getting Baltimore City Youth excited and engaged in STEM Learning. STEM Camp Counselors will help to make learning relevant to future STEM Careers and additional STEM Learning opportunities. Where appropriate STEM Camp Counselors will support students earning STEM and 21st Century Skill Digital Badges. STEM Camp Counselor will work in pairs at their sites and will be offered unique professional development opportunities. The Summer Associates STEM Camp Counselor Program will run from June 19th-August 11th. A stipend is provided for the 8 weeks totaling $2306 and at the end of service there is a $1200 education award.

Member Duties : Summer Associate STEM Counselors will be placed at STEM Summer programs throughout the city of Baltimore to assist in program facilitation and development. Associates will assist primary facilitators and engage directly with K-12 youth in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math related activities for 8 weeks. Professional Development opportunities will also be offered to Summer Associates.
