NYC VISTA-Database Tracking (NYC ACS)

The work of the Internal Monitor sits within the Office of the Commissioner of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). The Internal Monitor interfaces with all divisions at ACS and monitors agency-wide, high level systemic recommendations and reforms stemming from critical incidents or audits. The Office of the Internal Monitor VISTA project will work with the Child Welfare Programs to implement a new application for tracking that will be used by both internal the NYC Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) staff and contracted provider agencies. The tracking system will improve information gathering and analytics on systemic issues impacting practice and policy. Ultimately the project will help strengthen communication and collaboration between ACS and its provider agencies while identifying areas for systemic improvement. The tasks for the newly developed application will include training and providing technical assistance on the use of the application. Following, the project would be monitoring and tracking the information entered by the users that can be used to impact systemic change.
