Harvest Against Hunger SVA OCCAC

Okanogan County Community Action Council is a community building organization. We work with community members of all groups to raise the poor out of poverty, to feed the hungry, to provide affordable housing for all, to empower community members through education, and in the process to return prosperity and hope for the future to our county. FOOD FOR ALL aims to educate residents of Okanogan County in lifelong skills such as gardening, composting, and cooking to attain a nutritious diet of healthy local fruits and vegetables. Harvest Against Hunger (HAH) is a program of Rotary First Harvest. Since 2009, HAH has partnered with CNCS to place AmeriCorps VISTA in host sites around Washington to create and sustain gleaning and produce recovery projects, to increase fresh produce available to hungry populations.
