2017 Boys and Girls Summer VISTA
 
 
 
The Boys & Girls Club of Lake County strives to inspire all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The VISTA will deliver programming through our summer program that provides youth, ages 6-18 years, opportunities to maintain or improve their academic skills, increase self-confidence, learn proper communication skills with peers and adults and perform service learning projects to build character and citizenship skills. This project will serve approximately 200 youth for an 8-week summer program, with 1-week staff training before youth are present and 1 week wrap up for staff after youth complete the program.

Member Duties : Program Assistant VISTA will: (1) assure youth will achieve the goals described above different forms of assessments and conduct general staff duties. (2) Deliver youth programming, leading games, and guiding youth in projects which are planned by the Club’s Program Director, Program Manager and/or Unit Managers.
