2017 Detroit Program Coordinator (826 Michigan)

826 National will work with AmeriCorps*VISTA members to build the organization’s capacity to serve under-resourced students in seven urban areas across the country where we have writing/tutoring centers (San Francisco, Ann Arbor/Detroit, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Boston, Chicago and New York). AmeriCorps*VISTA members will work at the National office in San Francisco, focusing on community assessment and replication, marketing, development and retail operations. Additionally, 826 National will deploy AmeriCorps*VISTA members to work directly in our centers to provide for the sustainability of volunteer recruitment, training, and retention efforts; conduct development activities, and support in-school and on-site program and program expansion efforts to broaden access for under-resourced students in these cities.
