NYC VISTA-Youth Pathways (NYC HRA)

Using a youth development framework, YouthPathways at DSS/HRA will support successful transition to adulthood for youth in NYC, strongly emphasizing and increasing access to education and training. YouthPathways uses an approach to employment services that is individualized, career pathways-informed, demand-driven, and sector-focused. In creating a youth-specific program, HRA will be able to impact the career trajectory of young adults by intervening at the beginning of their connection to the labor market. For young adults, this is particularly critical because research has shown this time to be important for establishing precedents for educational attainment, family life, and labor force participation.
