Tenant Education Coordinator -Transition Projects (Portland)

Transition Projects, located in Portland, Oregon, helps people transition from homelessness to housing. Our community is a large metropolitan urban area that encompasses three counties, and it is one of the most rent-burdened communities in the country. The VISTA member placed at our agency will assist in developing tenant education program Rent Well, which help people experiencing homelessness overcome barriers to finding affordable housing. AmeriCorps VISTA members perform only indirect service; interaction with clients will be limited and the member will spend the majority of his or her time in an office setting. However, the Transition Projects VISTA will play a dynamic role in ending poverty by improving a key program that helps people end their homelessness. As a Transition Projects VISTA you will be part of a cohort coordinated by Mercy Corps Northwest. Early applications strongly encouraged. Selections made on a rolling basis.
