2017 Austin Ascending Program VISTA Summer Associate

The Austin Ascending Program is an initiative of the Oak Park Regional Housing Center to market the Austin neighborhood as valuable and desirable. Austin Ascending provides financial assistance to building owners who will rent out their units in a manner than enhances the diversity and integration of the community. Building owners will also become involved in neighborhood revitalization efforts, such as community garden-planting. These efforts reinvest in longtime residents of Austin and at the same time, bring in new residents who will contribute to neighborhood diversity and integration.
