The Northwest Side Housing Center’s mission is to engage, educate and empower the community. We accomplish our mission through housing counseling, financial education, community organizing, outreach, advocacy and supportive services. The VISTA will create and improve activities related to affordable housing, rental referrals and long-term financial education to community residents.

Member Duties : Special Projects Associate VISTA will: (1) Research and conduct outreach in the community to increase the number of landlords in Northwest Side Housing Center's (NWSHC’s) referral network for affordable housing referrals. (2) Conduct outreach through community events to Increase public awareness of our affordable housing referrals program. (3) To expand our database regarding affordable housing clients and case management information.
