Northwest Compass, Inc. mission is to enhance our community by providing emergncy services, education and empowerement which foster personal responsibility for those who are vulnerable or in crisis. For the last 6 months the VISTA Program Manager for HYPE (Helping Youth on the Path to Empowerment) has conducted assessment to ascertain the needs for programming, partnership and funding to better serve youth in crisis. The VISTA has also expanded HYPE through community partnerships with local nonprofits, police departments and schools. The new summer VISTA will focus on the implementation of the HYPE program, increase awareness in the community and most of all provide one on one case management. In conjunction with current staff the new VISTA will focus on the specific needs of youth aged 18-24 and will tailor services to that age group.

Member Duties : Helping Youth on the Path to Empowerment VISTA will: (1) Implement the various aspects of the Helping Youth on the Path of Empowerment Program (HYPE). (2) Provide One on One Case Management with Northwest Compass clients.
